It's the first date, and the guy has asked you to choose the activity. What do you choose? You rack your brains and ask your friends if they have any good ideas. One suggests cooking him dinner. Another suggests dinner (at a restaurant) and a movie. You look at them and give a pitiful sigh. Apparently, you are (a lot) more adventurous than your girlfriends.

Great First Date Adventures For You and Your Mate...

Chalk up your hands and spend a day Rock Climbing – Say goodbye to worrying if you've just broken your newly polished nail and say hello to which rock face you and your new mate will want to focus your attention on. If you're both up for it, rock climbing will be a great way to test out your compatibility and have a great time at the same time.

Take a Hike – Pack a picnic basket and hit your town's local trails with your new friend. You'll both work up a good appetite, and if you're fearful that your conversation wanes at points, you can always talk about the breath taking views.

Fasten on your life-vest and try Kayaking – If you're both water lovers, kayaking is a great way to break the ice on a first date and have a good time.

Strap on your Skates and hit the Park – If Rollerblading is your thing- strap on your skates for a first date. If things go well- you'll have an excuse to hold his hand as you teach him and if he doesn't float your boat, a quick get away is only a few strides away.

Hit a Home Run at the Batting Cages – Hit the batting cages with your date to see if he's going to be a swing and a miss or a home run.
